NYB FOCUS
We focus on a number of attributes that will ultimately enhance the players level of productivity which include ;
- optimizing movements that are specific to basketball, such as cutting, sprinting, and changing direction. By practicing these movements with proper mechanics and technique, players can become more effective in executing plays and creating scoring opportunities.
- simulating game-like situations in our training drills to help players apply their optimized movements in real-game scenarios. This includes working on movements off screens, making cuts to the basket, and executing defensive rotations.
- emphasizing the importance of proper footwork in all aspects of the game, including dribbling, shooting, and defensive movements. We teach players how to use quick and efficient footwork to maintain balance, change direction, and create space and time.
- developing proper body mechanics to optimize movement efficiency. This includes teaching players how to maintain proper posture, utilize core strength, and coordinate their upper and lower body movements effectively. - incorporating speed and agility training drills to improve players' quickness, reaction time, and explosiveness. By enhancing these physical attributes, players can move more efficiently on the court and react quickly to game situations.
- improving players balance and stability, which are esential for maintaining control and executing movements with precision.

Ball Manipulation

Explore Dribbling Capability Height / Width / Cadence / Type of Dribble Our ball manipulation training focuses on developing fundamental skills, such as hand-eye coordination, dribbling technique, and ambidexterity. We provide a variety of drills and exercises that target these areas and help players become more comfortable and confident with the basketball. Our training programs also incorporate advanced ball handling techniques, such as crossovers, between-the-legs dribbles, behind-the-back dribbles, and spin moves. These moves not only add flair to your game but also provide you with the ability to navigate through defenders and create scoring opportunities. In addition to the technical aspects of ball manipulation, our training also emphasizes the mental aspect of handling the basketball. We teach players how to read defenses, make quick decisions, and maintain composure under pressure. These skills are crucial in game situations and can greatly impact your performance on the court. Whether you are a beginner looking to improve your basic ball handling skills or an advanced player seeking to refine your techniques, our ball manipulation training will help you take your game to the next level. Our experienced coaches and trainers will provide step-by-step instructions, feedback, and support to ensure that you develop a strong foundation in ball handling.

Shooting Calibration

Shooting calibration in basketball refers to the process of fine-tuning your shooting technique to improve accuracy and consistency. It involves analyzing and adjusting various components of your shot mechanics, such as wrist mobility, elbow mobility, grip, stance, release (timing), and ball flight manipulation, to find the most effective and repeatable form for optimal shooting performance. Consistent practice and repetition are crucial for shooting calibration. Spend dedicated time shooting from various spots on the court, focusing on maintaining proper form and technique. Incorporate game-like scenarios and shooting drills to simulate in-game conditions and develop muscle memory. Recording and reviewing your shooting form to identify any flaws or areas for improvement. Compare your technique to that of successful shooters and seek feedback from coaches or trainers. Analyzing your shooting mechanics visually can help you make necessary adjustments and track your progress over time. Remember, shooting calibration is an ongoing process that requires patience, dedication, and attention to detail. By consistently working on your shooting technique and making necessary adjustments, you can improve your shooting accuracy and become a more reliable shooter on the basketball court.

Finishing Capabilities

Finishing adaptability is a crucial skill in basketball that allows players to effectively score in a variety of situations and against different defenders. It refers to the ability to adjust your finishing techniques based on the specific circumstances on the court, such as the position of the defender, the angle of the shot, and the presence of help defense. We focus on proper footwork, body control, and hand placement. Practice different types of layups, including standard layups, reverse layups, off foot layups (similar movement qualities to the well-known euro-step), and floaters. Work on both hands to become more versatile. Develop a consistent approach to the basket, and practice at various angles and speeds. Repetition and attention to technique will contribute to better and more accurate layups during game situations.
